The Purbrook Centre is a former Methodist church, which remained an unoccupied building for eight years until our purchase of the building in 2012. Since then we have completely renovated the building transforming it into the wonderful centre it’s become today.

Part of the renovation has seen our large function hall return to its full glory with its beautifully polished parquet floor idea for dancing. The large function room can comfortable seat 150 people to take advantage of our onsite caterers producing high quality hot and cold food, whether its a full three/four course meal or a self service buffet we have the facilities to fulfill your requirements. The function hall also benefits from being fully air conditioned, or heated, has its own stage for any presentations and its own inwards facing bar.

Our large function room is perfect for any celebration, Birthday, Anniversary or wedding reception. With a beautiful polished parquet floor, integral licensed bar, full catering facilities to serve a three-course sit down meal or something as simple as a cold buffet for up to 200 people. It’s a complete package solution to keep everybody happy. Our function room also has a raised stage at the end of the room, perfect for a DJ or Band.

We have two bars at the Purbrook Centre; one facing into our large function room keeping everybody involved with the celebration and the second a fully furnished lounge bar for up to 40 people. This lounge is also available for private hire for business meetings, association groups or smaller clubs. The Purbrook Centre is fully air-conditioned and heated for everyone’s comfort.

As the Purbook Centre is members clubs as well, it is home to number of Freemason Lodges under the Hampshire and IOW Province. 2017 is a particular special year for Masonry as it celebrates its Trecentary (300 years in existence).
